Even though for many years now Cornwall has been looked upon as a place where you go for what would be considered a traditional seaside holiday. Today as you will soon discover things have drastically changed in the last few years. Cornwall holidays now offer you much more than just sun (when it shines), sea and sand, there are plenty of other activities you can get involved during your stay there.

Yes, you can still spend time on the beach enjoying the sand, sea and sun, but today there is so much more for you to do. If you want, you could actually learn to surf or windsurf as it offers some of the best winds and waves around the shoreline of Britain today.

But as well as the water sports there are plenty of interest places to visit and see and great food to try as well. Today some of the countries most well known chefs (Rick Stein being one) has a restaurant now in Cornwall. This provides you with the chance to try some great tasting food from a renowned chef.

Yet this county is still a place to take children on holiday to as it offers a wide range of activities for children and adults to do together. One particular location that you may want to visit during your time here is the Eden Project. This is now the center where they are trying to combat the effects that are caused by global warming. So offers you and your family a chance to find ways of working together and with others to help save the planet we live on. In fact, the Eden Project is now ranked alongside both the Taj Mahal and the Grand Canyon as being a world heritage site.

One other reason why so many people choose Cornwall as their vacation spot is that no matter where you stay you are only ever a short drive away from its coastline. Also, there are plenty of other beautiful natural features for you to see and visit as well. Plus within a short while you can actually head in to the next county along (Devon) and take a peruse around its quaint villages and towns as well.

Yes, you can spend time relaxing on the beaches by why not take a trip a little further a field and enjoy the sights and sounds that Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor have to offer. Here you will see some of Britain’s native animals including deer and you never know you may be in luck and spot the Beast of Bodmin as well.

As for accommodation in Cornwall when you choose to holiday there. You have a number of different types you can select from. You can either stay in a hotel or bed and breakfast (B&B) accommodation. But for those of you who are going to take a holiday in Cornwall and there is a big group of you it may be wise to rent a holiday cottage or villa instead.

So whether you want a vacation that allows you to relax and unwind or one where you can get involved in some great activities, then Cornwall may be the ideal place to go. As you will soon find there are plenty of places online that offer a wide variety of different Cornwall holidays for you to look at and possibly book as your next vacation trip.
